BizFive.com Business Directory and Resources

Bizfive Business Directory ResourcesEarlier, we wrote about free article submission, this time it’s about directory submission and here’s BizFive.com for your adds with some distinct features. On the outset, this business directory looks professional, less cluttered than most web directories and the layout structure also seems SEO friendly.

The interesting features of this business directory are business articles including business basics, business issues, business finance, design and development, monetization, SEO and marketing and web hosting, and of course, you can add your site to the directory.

Also, you will find business documents with enhanced business features, how-tos, details, checklists, techniques, standards and information catering to the increasing web trends of Business-to-Business (B2B) services and exponentially increasing demands for web-based resources and information. Current categories available are Board of Directors and Shareholders, Business Planning and Management, Credit and Collection, Customer Service, Employment and HR, Finance and Accounting, Internet and Technology.

Some of you might be particularly interested in Design and Development. Here are excerpts from Seven Design Principles I found on this site.

Copy: Scannable, try using bullets, highlight your keywords for specific information your readers might be looking for.

White space & text design: White space is easy on the eyes. Fonts should be large enough for even the older ones to read. Clutter free and yet space optimization is a must.

Pictures: Pictures create a mood and interest, choose an appropriate picture for your post. Keep them light, so that they do not take too long to load.

Graphics: Plan your graphics well, a haphazardly arranged graphics reflects an amateur site, so do it right and within the requirements.

Be easy to navigate: Keep few links in your main directory, arouse interest interest instead of choice fatigue. Maintain hierarchy.

Be credible: With constant skeptics around you, ensure your site looks professional, your stats reliable, and content original.Testimonials, warranty, guarantee, secure credit card processing, privacy policies, disclaimers are the way to go.

Never Be Finished: Google likes fresh content, so do readers. Keep adding new information, tweak your site design keeping SEO in mind.

This PR5 directory seems to be doing great… from concept, to content, to usability, to visibility, to SEO to making money online to business how-tos, browse through hundreds of articles. Great info, free downloads!! If you like this directory, please leave a comment and we will soon find more PR5 and PR5+ Directories for you!

    PR5 is not a big deal. Find 7 and 8 :) . THX.

  2. Jay on December 5th, 2007 4:32 pm

It is not about the PR. Before submission you should look for other things as number of pages indexed and when was home page last indexed in G00GLE (should less than 30 days).

    Thanks,
    Jay

You should always make sure the directory you submit to has an editorial policy and takes the time to review your site. If there isn’t, then skip it and move on! Thank you for great resource.

There are article directories and article directories. Article extreme is one of the best for the following reasons.
1, All submissions are checked for relevancy. Cut ‘n pasted gibberish will not be admitted.
2, As part of the weeding process, articles not submitted to the correct sub-categories will be declined for re-submission. This is because…
3, This article site is as niche concentrated as possible. After all, who wants to find articles about tropical fish fungus cures in a section of articles about debt consolidation?
4, This tight acceptance control has made this one of the fastest growing article directories around. We now can boast over 1,300 members since we launched in October last year.
5, Our growth is about as organically viral as you can get. A bit of word of mouth, a bit of a Digg now and then, and absolutely no paid advertising. Already our Alexa ranking is under the 300,000 mark, and the associated blog has a totally unexpected Google page rank. It’s low, but it’s quick even for Google!
So, pop over and join the family at http://articleextreme.com

Most directories are SEO friendly despite what some experts would have you believe. Besides a backlink is a backlink no matter where or who you post it with. Google’s algorithm is not as smart as they would have you believe. Ask the guys who still black hat them if you don’t believe me.

The more time that is spent dissecting, analyzing, and critiquing a design by the wrong kinds of people the worse that design gets. The same trend applies to the number of people involved in the design process.
    Thx a lot for infomation!

hey this is great. thanks for the tips! I have been looking for good directories to submit articles and links.

It really isn’t the PR of the directory home page that counts as there are plenty of directories with home pages having PR and many internal pages that aren’t even indexed/cached. You need to find an internal page relevant to your industry that’s indexed and recently cached. Be infinitely better if it has PR too. Probably pointless if it doesn’t, actually, but I’ll tend to leave a link because, hey, if I’m there anyway…
