    Yahoo! hosting has some limitations that should be noted here, php mail, phpAdmin and other features are hard to set up and access using the admin panel!

    One hosting I would not recommend to anyone anymore is Dreamhost!

    Yahoo has bad support too, it’s really not the real thing…

    @hso, milo,

    wordpress.org suggests dreamhost and yahoo web hosting both.

    WordPress will plug any host that has a one click install of WP!

    The idea of hosting WP outside of WordPress.com is to have the flexibility to do whatever you want with it, and Yahoo does not support even the most basic customization like a contact form without having to use patches!

    As for Dreamhost, my site was down for 14 hours straight this past week, due to a “scheduled power outage”, how many other hosts do you know who plan an outage?

    1 & 1 is the worst service for support. Features however are great.

    Wow … kinda shocked that Jumpline isn’t on your list! I use Jumpline for all my sites. It’s great. Matter of fact I just did a review of Jumpline. You can read the review at http://www.everythingwebrelated.com

    Hostgator is by far the best, well in my opinion at least, but what about free hosts?

    Great article, it really feeds my knowledge, now i learn something new with your article, i enjoy but in additional once and for all, now a days web hosting are very cheap, but we also need to choose the right one, because there are some web hosting company that will also sell your personal information which is not good. go daddy and also hostgator and strikedata is one the best hosting company i have experienced. this just an additional about hosting.

    I have a new site. Not much on it yet. But I’ve got to tell everyone, Blackstone Media.net has been instrumental in helping me get set up. They set me up for free, didn’t pro-rate the month, just told me they would bill first of next month. Plus they said if I wasn’t happy for any reason I can leave at any time – no contracts – and if I leave within 90 days they promised me a full refund. I called after 3 AM the other night and they answered the phone! And took care of me right on the spot. WOW! Those guys rock!!

    Thanks for this list of great web hosting providers.

    The worst hosting is Godaddy. Their hosting services are the complete opposite of their registrar services. They have very unusual restrictions in plans (like a limit of 1000 e-mails sent per day in a DEDICATED SERVER, lol). These restrictions are hidden in it’s “sales technicsâ€?. The support is very slow, take more than 24 hours to answer questions. No guarantee, no refundable, no respect, no shame to provice a deficient service. They win money with it’s hosting services lying to customers. It’s probabbly an outsourced service. Terrible. They don’t make customers, they do victims.

    I am also suprised Tahoe Web Service is not on this list. Who else will offer a shopping cart right out of the gate at no extra charge? They offer 2500 items. Check them out and see about getting them on the this list.
